Search for Enlightenment - 01.09.2010

I’ve been thinking about spirituality a whole lot as of late. I live in the “Bible Belt” of Alabama and all I’ve ever been exposed to was Christianity. I felt the need to look at something other than Christianity. I’ve done a few Google searches on various religions including Rastafari, Islam, and Buddhism. Of those religions, Buddhism garnered my interest the most. I read a few articles around the web. One article included a list of recommended books for “Beginning Buddhists.” One of those books was What the Buddha Taught by Walpola Rahula. I decided to borrow it from the library. I’m only a few pages into it, but I’ve already learned a great deal.
